Best power stations to run a refrigerator during an outage
Which power station keeps a fridge running longest in an outage?
The Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus leads this list on refrigerator runtime (2.7 days), among the 37 of 56 current models that meet every requirement. From another brand, the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 comes next (2.2 days).
Why these requirements?
A fridge compressor's cited start-up draw is 2,200 W, so the surge rating has to clear it. 1,500 W continuous leaves headroom for lights and a router alongside, and 1,000 Wh runs a typical 200 W fridge (on about a third of the time) for roughly half a day.

What do official documents say about fridges in an outage?
FEMA's Ready.gov says a closed fridge keeps food cold for about 4 hours without power and a full freezer for about 48. A station only needs to cover the gap beyond that, which is why cycling a fridge on and off can work.
Across ENERGY STAR certified fridges, the median annual use is 363 kWh for a top-freezer model, 556 kWh for a bottom-freezer and 640 kWh for a side-by-side: about 41 W, 63 W and 73 W on average. These are lab figures with the door shut; real use runs higher.
One small 115 V fridge compressor's datasheet lists 7.24 A at start against 1.30 A running, about 5.6 times the running current for under a second. That is why a fridge can trip a station whose continuous rating looks ample.
In EIA's 2020 household survey, 22.7 million of 123.5 million US households (about 18%) had an outage lasting more than 24 hours, 19 million of them caused by weather.
